Gertie Mae’s was established in 2003 making its home in a unique 1940’s Pure Oil gas station located in charming downtown Clarkesville, Georgia. Our non-traditional designs quickly became Gertie Mae’s signature. After 5 ½ years of rapid growth we realized we needed a larger workroom and we have recently moved to a spacious design studio. Set on almost 10 acres of beautiful North Georgia pasture, Gertie Mae’s will be establishing a cutting garden of native and wildflower blooms for a mid to late summer harvest. The combination of locally grown and commercial flowers creates distinctive arrangements.

The business is named for my two grandmothers, Gertrude Burt and Mabel Mae Ferguson who both excelled naturally in floral arranging and gardening. It only made sense to honor the women I inherited my talents from.

We are known for our work in the wedding and special event business, but also offer daily deliveries of all occasion flowers. We pride ourselves in personal care, customer service and top quality designs.
